Writing well... The struggle is real!

A few years ago I asked a writing teacher if writing gets easier after a while, and she said yes. On one hand, it's true. Words flow easier. But when it comes to editing, it gets harder, because once you know how to write well, you want to be excellent. You drool at other writers' sentences, their descriptions, and the words they use. You want to be that great, but you're just you. You can only do you. Here's to all my fellow writers whose struggle is real. Cheers!
